James Combs was rear-ended by a semi-truck owned by Marten Transport and driven by Jolena Nussel. Initially, he experienced neck pain and sought urgent care. However, after a subsequent T-bone accident, he eventually underwent cervical fusion surgery. Marten and Nussel argued that Combs’ neck issues were pre-existing and that the second accident was responsible for his surgery. Despite the challenges, a jury awarded Mr. Combs $5,600,000.00 in damages. The case was later settled for a confidential amount.

Alan Onucko was tragically struck and killed by an 18-wheeler on I-10 near Marshall, Texas. While the defense claimed Mr. Onucko was at fault for walking in the lane of traffic, we proved to the jury that the defendant swerved into him. After a five-day trial, the jury awarded Mr. Onucko’s family $2.3 million.

Our client was struck by an armored car and sustained a TBI, fractured ribs, fractured clavicle, and disc herniations in the neck and lumbar spine. An ACDF surgery was performed, and the case was settled shortly before trial for a confidential amount.

Our client suffered fatal injuries as a direct and proximate result of the subject collision. The occurrence made the basis of this suit, reflected in the above paragraph, and the resulting injuries and damages  and the wrongful death of our client, Deceased, was proximately caused by the negligent conduct of the Defendant.  Defendant owed duties of ordinary care to our client to other motorists and other pedestrians on the roadway.  Defendant’s conduct outlined above breached those duties through various acts and/or omissions, including the following, each of which singularly or in combination with others, constitute negligence that were  direct and or proximate cause of the occurrence in question and the resulting injuries to our client and his wrongful death and damages set forth herein.

Our client who was involved in a motorcycle accident where he was thrown from his motorcycle and suffered a fractured femur for which he received surgery and hardware implanted. He also has hip and knee injuries in addition to road rash.  The case was Webb v. Ali and it was set for trial, multiple depositions taken including experts, a life care plan and it was mediated shortly before trial. The case was settled for $1 million.

On February 2, 2022, Defendant, was operating a Capital Metro Bus, and in his course at the intersection of W. 5th Street. The Capital Metro Bus driver was in the second turn lane facing eastbound to go northbound. Our client was in the first turn lane. Both drivers made the left turn with the rear of Defendants’ vehicle coming into the first turn lane. The investigating officer noticed scrape marks and confirmed the bus was in our client’s lane of traffic. The investigating officer listed that the at fault driver turned improperly, and cut corner on the left as factor contributing to the subject collision, and in fact issued him a citation for the offense. As a result of the subject collision, our client sustained damage to his personal property (his vehicle) and personal injuries to his body which required medical treatment. Despite his best efforts to ease his pain with over-the-counter pain relievers and hot and cold pack therapy administered at home, our client’s pain persisted. On February15, 2021, our client presented to a Pain Specialists facility, where he presented to the clinic with complaints of low back pain and neck pain, scaled at between 7 (current) and 10 (worst). He was diagnosed with radiculopathy in the lumbar and cervical region, lower back pain, concussion without loss of conscious, and cervicalgia.  He completed a comprehensive course of physical therapy treatment, therapeutic exercises, neuromuscular reeducation, manual therapy techniques, steroid injections and additional treatment.
